"Me" Day!

Mom said Mondays are all about me!  This morning, she let me sleep in a bit.  Then we went to PetSmart where I got to do some Christmas shopping for some of my furr-iends.  Then, I got my nails done.  Then, we went to my fave off-leash dog park.  It was kindof blustery out (again), so there was only one other dog there when we got there.  So, me and Bolt played a lot:

Then, some other dogs showed up and we had a good play session.  I was pretty wiped out.
Then, we went to my class and I did my best in doing my downs and sit-stays.  I did so well on the down, the teacher used me to demonstrate the correct form.  But my favorite part is the playtime at the end.  Here's me and my gal, Eva:

And a couple of us getting a good romp at the very end:

Mom says the last few classes will be the most challenging for me because they are on that 'loose-leash' walking thing, recall, and not jumping.
Guess I've got a lot of work to do this week!!
Happy December everybody!!!

Long walkie

Today was a gloomy day, but it didn't rain and wasn't too cold.  Me and mom and dad went on a long walk.  I got to wear my new harness and mom thought it really helped me walk better:

This is me with my 'I'm protecting my momma' look.  I think I look pretty intimidating.  What do you think?:

Tomorrow is 'play-with-furriends-at-the-park-and-at-class' day.  Plus, mom wants to take me out on a walkie again to get me doing better at the 'loose leash' thing.
I better get my beauty sleep now.  Everyone have a great week!

Day after turkey

Me, dad, and pop-pop went to the dog park.  It was a beautiful day out and I met up with a fun boxer:

Later that night, Auntie Janet and pop-pop came over to eat leftovers, so
I got to lay by the dragon again and chew on the hoofer:

Everyone said I was being very good.  They even let me stay up a little past my usual bed time, which was nice.  Hopefully, we'll get to go do fun stuff tomorrow again!

Giving thanks!

So, in the last blog I thanked Darwin for the great bed idea.  The last two days, I've found many things to be thankful for.  My auntie Janet and Pop-pop visited and I always get lots of treats when people visit:

I'm thankful for being able to finally meet the dragon.  It was a little scary:

...but dad was sitting pretty close to the dragon, so I knew I had to be tough and sit between them to protect him from the dragon:

I'm thankful for being "what a good boy!" that I got this new thing to chew on called a twin hoofer:

I'm thankful for having such great pawrents and their family to cook such a big dinner with guaranteed leftovers for me:

I'm one lucky pup!!!

Thanks Darwin!!!

You all know that I'm outgrowing my beds at record speed, right?  Well, my blog buddy, Darwin, let me know about this great sale on this huge bed at REI.  So, mom ordered it and we got it a couple days ago and it fits perfectly in my crate.

At first I laid in it like my other bed, but then I streeeeeeeeetched out:

So, thanks to Darwin, I can now stretch out my full length.  Here's an ear salute to you.  You're one cool chickaroo!!!!

I love Mondays!

Mom took me out to the little off-leash area in UP again today.  She said all that playing helps me focus better in my obedience class (I think it's the chicken and cheese!).  Here's me with some nice new furr-iends.  Me and the little white terrier had fun.  His name's Taco:

I played with this boxer, Brindle.  He was cool (not too frothy slobbery) and was coaching me on how to pee like a boy.

My class went really well.  I got to show off how I can lay down when mom asks or moves her hand.  I was the only one who already knew how to do it.  Mom's nervous about next week cuz we are working on loose leash walking (say that 3 times fast).

Rain, rain, go away...blah, blah, blah...

I don't think its EVER going to stop raining here!!!  What happened to the nice warm days when I was a wee pup?!  Mom says I better get used to it cuz it will be like this for the next six (!!?!) months.  Ugh!  So, I'm sucking it up and going out in the rain, wind, cold...  I feel like the mailman!!!  Good thing my pawrents don't mind the weather.  Here's me and dad making a quick trek at the BPA.  You can't really tell how windy it is in the picture, but I'm helping dad stay standing:

We went and visited some of the folks' friends and it was only the second other house I've been in.  But, I was very good and didn't even chase their kat.  When we got to our home, the dragon was blowing up warm, sleepy air.

Check out my stylin' tag silencer.  I got it at the Pet Market.
Hope everyone's having a good weekend.

A new dog park

Despite it being another typical gray day in the PNW, we went to a new dog park, the Fort Steilacoom Dog Park in Tacoma.  It was pretty big with a separate place for small dogs.  I, of course, was on the big dog side.  Right when we got there, I met up with a standard poodle:

I played with a boxer pup, Molly, for a while.  She had about as much energy as me.  Then I played with a few other dudes.

But the girl that stole my heart was Allie. She's a 11-month-old golden retriever.  We played, and played, and chased each other around the picnic table:

After a long time of playing, we had to leave cuz it was getting cold.  I slept on the way home, but was still tired when I got home.  Almost too tired to chew on my Flossie:

Maybe, if I'm rested up a bit and the rain isn't too bad, we can explore another park tomorrow!!!!

A day of rest...I mean work

Here I am striking my usual pose at work:

Later on, mom got some shots of me eating dinner.  I have to hit 'Bob' around all over so he spits out my food:

Sometimes it's a little frustrating cuz he's stingy and likes to hide:
So I pretend I'm not interested:

la..la..laaaaaa....

...and then I pounce!!

and pounce some more!!!

Sometimes in all the pouncing, I miss a piece.  That's why the katz are always hanging around:

But not too many pieces make it far from MY nose!

Quick Pic

Here's a quick shot of me at my play place, chillin' in the sun, taking a break from the action:

Back to sleep now...zzzz...

Blustery Day

The day started out a little breezy and rainy, so we went to PetSmart, where mom got me a new blanket for the truck.  Then, we went to the Chambers Bay dog park again.  By the time we got there, the wind was really blowing and the rain was coming from every direction, so mom made me wear my jacket.  When we got closer to the dog park, I was sad cuz no one else was there:

But, when we were about to leave, a chocolate lab, Penny, showed up.  We played for a bit, but had to leave cuz mom was soaked and freezing.

Later on, I went to my 2nd day of obedience class.  Mom said I did VERY good.  Much better than last time.  After class, we all got to play again.  This time, the airedale was much more playful with me:

Here's me and Oliver chatting.  He's so tiny, you can't even see him behind me:

The next two days are my all-day play days.  It should be good fun since I've been playing more and making more furr-iends.  I'm usually too tired after playing all day to blog, so I'll catch up on Thursday, after work (aka, where I rest up...wags!)

A break in the weather

It was raining when I woke up this morning, so I figured it would be a day stuck inside.  At least I got to help dad with some home improvement projects.  Here I'm helping him hammer a nail:

Then we hung out downstairs for a bit.

Then, surprisingly enough, the rain let up a bit.  So we jumped in the truck and headed out to check out another dog park.  This time we went to Grandview in Seatac/Kent area.  It was huge.  A little muddy in parts, but I stayed away from those.  Here's me and a red coon hound:

I was still pretty worn out from yesterday's play session, so I played with these dudes for a while, then went walking with mom and dad.  It was the first time we walked without me being on my leash and they said they were proud at how well I did.

This park went up pretty high and there were some 'grand views' (har har).

Action shot:

Mom got a new camera and wanted to try out the B&W feature.

Another busy day today.  I'm pooped.  Mom said, if the weather is somewhat decent tomorrow, I might get to go to another park before going to my class tomorrow night.  I sure hope so.  They don't let me run around enough in that class.
