Flashback Furriday!

Remember last year when I had my Day-after-Christmas hangover?

No hangover this year. I was chillin' with my peeps.

Happy New Year's Eve, everyone.
Be safe!

Christmas Catchup, Pt II

So, there were all these mouth-watering smells coming from this square dohicky that I wasn't allowed near.

There were all sorts of yummy things going in and coming out of there.

And people think I'M goofy.  Yup, that's my dad!  Now you know where I get it!

Finally, a little piece of yumminess rolled my way.  They call it a mushmellow, and I can see why.  A couple licks and it just melted and stuck to everything.

After being tortured by the smell of juicy turducken, my auntie Janet was nice enough to sneak me a piece. YUM!!!

I was wiped out from all the excitement, play, and torturing.
Mom said I was very well behaved this year.  I didn't even steal any potato salad this year.  Course, there wasn't any, but there was a ton of other stuff I could have easily surfed...like that huge turducken!
But, I kept my cool to make mom proud.  My gift to her this year!

It's a family reunion!

Me and Memphis decided to meet up at a different park Sunday.
When I got there, there was another Ridgeback.  Then, another one showed up.
 (I'm in the middle)

This is Tanzer.  We're the same age.
You know why we look alike?
CUZ HE'S MY BROTHER!!!!!
Remember when I met my other brother, Milo, back in January?

This is Ruby.  You know why we look alike?  Yup, you guessed it.  She's my half sister!
We have the same mom (she's 2 years older than me, tho).

Even with all the other Ridgebacks there, me and Memphis preferred to play with each other...that's cuz we're bestest buds!

Here I am saying 'Hi' to Ruby's dad.  Wait a minute...what happened to my tail?!

This humongous Irish Wolfhound showed up.

You can get an idea of his size by seeing how small Memphis looks:
So, it was interesting running into 2 family members.  Crazy.
So far, I've randomly run into 2 brothers, 1 older half sister, and have had play dates with my other older half sister, Nala.

It was a very cool day.  I'm hoping to be able to see Tanzer and Ruby again.

Christmas Catch-up, pt I

Hope everyone had a GRRReat Christmas.
We went over to my Auntie Janet's for Christmas Eve.
I like going to her house cuz there's lots of stuff to sniff and she's always cooking delicious smelling stuff.

I was very good, so I got to hang out by the Christmas tree and demolish a Yak chew.

Here I am singing some Christmas carols.
All the excitement and chewing wiped me out, but we got to go back the next day.  Mom put this silly collar on me.  She said its like a bow tie, so I could be dressed up.

Then I got to open my bag o' goodies.

Wow!  Check out all this cool stuff!

I got some pressies from my furriends, Darwin and Memphis.

Some pressies from my hooman furriends.

Stay tuned for Part II:
Me being tortured by the delicious, slobberfying smells of fresh roasted turducken.

Early Christmas Pressies

Dad went to Pennsylvania and all he brought me was this shirt.

Actually, it's a really nice Woolrich coat that's really warm.
Despite the look on my face, I do like it.

Mom has been doing all this research on my boots for snow shoeing this winter.  She's decided not to get the Ruff Wear Bark 'n Boot Polar Trex cuz they're not getting good reviews.
She's leaning toward Neopaws High Performance Boots.
Has anyone tried these or have recommendations for any other brand of boot?

Wordless Wednesday

We got some news from my doc that I don't have pancreatitis.  Yea!!  But they said my folate was a little low (5.9?), so they told mom to feed me a "novel protein."
"Novel protein" is right.  I got to eat my first kangaroo tonight!!
And let me tell you... it was YUMMY!!!!

Flashback Furrrriday!!!!!!!!

The place I go and hang out with my furriends all day while mom works took my Christmas photo again this year:

Here's last year's Christmas photo:

At least they didn't make me wear that silly hat again!

We're still waiting on the results from my vampire attack
(when they took 3 vials of my blood).
Although I'm feeling better, I'm still working mom so she'll keep feeding me warm chicken and rice.  Now she's even adding green beans, which are my fav-o-rite!!!!

It was a Dark and Stormy WEEK!

We've had rain and NO sun the past few days.
It's been so gloomy here that it looks like night time at the dog park:

My furriend, Alena.  Look how dark it is at 0900:

Since it's been drippy and damp lately, mom got this "wonderful" idea to get me this hoodie:
 Its okay, I guess.

It seems to be stretchy and pretty roomy.

Its important to wear the correct athletic gear while countersurfing!

An update on my recent poopyness:
I went back to my doc today and they took 3 vials of blood!
They want to check more stuff and make sure I don't have pancreatitis.
But the tests take a week, so mom will be anxiously awaiting the results.

We'll keep you all updated.

I Graduated !!!

My tummy was feeling a little better yesterday, so I got to go to my last class in my Intermediate Obedience course.
We played some new games, which I was very eager to do.

Mom was really proud of me because I did 'sit stay' while she walked away and pet the other dog. Then I had to 'sit stay' at one end of the room until she called for me and I had to run to her and sit without her saying or doing anything.  Piece of cake!

Then we had our graduation ceremony:

Look how proud mom is of me!

Tah dah!!

I got a new bed cuz I did so well!
Dad calls it my 'big boy bed.'

I like it cuz I can stretch out more than in my old bed:
Mom say one of the best things she ever got me was my elevated mattress.  It's a Coolaroo, and she highly recommends it for anyone with boney dogs.  I like it cuz its comfy and helps me see out the window better.

Tomorrow, I go to my doc just so they can look at my poop.
I know.  People are weird!
