I Found My Brudder!!!!!

So get this!...  Me and mom and dad were at the dog park we go to before my class on Saturdays and there was another Ridgeback my age there.  Mom was talking to his mom, and it turns out...HE'S MY BROTHER!!!!!   How wild is THAT??!!!!!   His name is Milo and, like me, he turns 6 months tomorrow.  It was so cool running into one of my litter mates.  He even looks a lot like me.  Check it out:
Can you tell which one is me?
(hint:  I have the harness on)

Hrumph!

So, I had a day full of dog park playing and a nice walk...and mom puts this picture in for today:
So I have a snuggle bunny...So what!?!!  Does that make me less of a dog?!
It's very soft and cuddly...

Chooo... Chooo...

Actually, that's more like chew, chew!  Mom said I'm chewing on too much stuff I'm not supposed to be, so she got me this thing to chew on.

Personally, I don't know why she bothers with all this stuff.  I'd be fine with a few slippers and the couch to chew on!!

Weekend Catch-up

Golly!!!  Sometimes the weekends are just so busy that I don't have time to blog!  Friday I went to work again with mom and got to play with my buddy, Tasman.  It was the first time I got to play and be off leash since my 'procedure.'  It was so nice to be able to run and romp.

Saturday, was a little drizzly, so I decided to start the day with a nap in my (upsidedown) bed.

Then we went to the dog park inside a human park, where I got to play with a basenji mix.  Then, I went to my class where we worked on 'automatic sit.'  Later on, the sun can out and mom let me hang out on the deck with her and soak in the sun:

Then, we went on some errands and I got to ride in the Honda for the first time:

...and mom brought me a new toy (it being 'new-toy-Saturday, and all).
It's a hedgehog that grunts when I bite it:

I had one eye off in under 5 minutes!!!
Unfortunately, it didn't make it through Sunday.  I had the stuffing and 'grunting' pulled out, so now it's just the pelt.  Oh well, it's still fun.

Sunday was a very rainy day, but mom and dad put my coat on and took me out on a good walk.  I was very soggy afterwards, but it felt good to stretch my legs.

Gotta go.  Mom just said the sun is out, so we need to get out while the gettin's good!!!!

wags....

Back to work

Today was my first day back to work since I had my 'procedure.'  Everyone was glad to see me back.  The weather was decent, so me and mom went for our lunchtime walk.  Then later (after I napped for 2 hours), we walked with one of her patients.  That's what I call a good day at work!

Walkie, times 2!!!!

Mom decided that, since she's no longer drugging me up during the day, she would take me on 2 walks today (she said something about having a bunch of pent-up energy).  The first one was this morning.  It was cloudy, but pretty warm.  We walked for about 3 miles or so:

Then, after I napped for 3 hours, we went for a 'before-dinner walk'.  Just a quick 1.5 miles down at the neighborhood trail:

Mom said that, if the weather is okay tomorrow, we'll do the same thing.
Cool!  She must really love me!  wags!!

Naps, rides, and walks

What a great way to spend a day...naps in the sun, rides in the sun, and walks in the sun!  Today was a rare bee--u--tee--full winter day in the PNW.  I started the day with a serious nap in the morning sun:

Sooo... I'm not sure what mom's trying to focus in on here:

Is there something up my nose or what!?

Alright already!!!    Jeez!!!   That's enough shots of my schnoz!
One more shot of my nose and I'll......

Very funny, mom!

Anyway, so much for my nap.  We piled in the truck and got ready to hit the road for a long walkie.  First, dad had to feed the truck, so I watched:

I watched him clean off the back window:

Nice job, dad!  I can see much better now!

Then we hit the road for the trip down to the walkie place.  I'd never been there before, but mom and dad like it.
It took a while to get there, so I helped myself to a comfortable position:

I love going on rides because I can check out all the action (between naps):

We finally got to the walking place and went on a long walk.  Here's me and dad walking off into the sunset together:

It was actually only noon, but you can never really tell here in the PNW.

For Frankie Furter's Manipulation Manual

I think Frankie's idea for a Manipulation Manual would be so helpful for new pups everywhere.  I'm still having to learn by trial and error.  Here's one I've got down.  When I feel like a breath of fresh air and streching my legs outside, I just whine and give this look.  Mom usually comes RUNNING and lets me out:

It's funny how she'll come racing over from another room just to let me out!  snorts!

Tired of this whole recuperating thing!!

Definitely the only good thing about this post-procedure stuff are all the treats I get.  Mom gave me this new thing that I picked out at the Pet Market:

Mom took me to my doc yesterday so they could make sure everything was healing okay.  My doc told mom to put a cold washcloth down there to help keep the swelling down.  I let her do that for a little bit, but it didn't really feel that good having something cold and soggy down there.  So I let her know I had enough:

That's what she gets for using a Winnie-the-Pooh washcloth on me!!!

Still a little poopy

Hi all.  As you probably heard, I had my 'procedure.'  I don't remember any of it and just know I got a lot of treats when I got home.  Mom ordered a gazillion treats from EntirelyPets, the place where she gets all the flossies.  I've been pretty sleepy lately:

...but every once in a while I get a burst of energy.  Me and mom went on a quick walkie, despite the rain.  It was nice to get out of the house.  Anyway, back to another nap...
