The Perils and Pleasures of Doggie Parking

Yesterday, mom discovered the dangers of the dog park.  It was such a nice sunny day and I was playing, as usual, at the local dog park with a gazillion other new furriends.  Mom and dad and another mom were standing, watching me play in the distance and....ka..Blam!  Mom got knocked on her arse in the mud!  I didn't laugh, really (snicker!).  Apparently, a couple other dogs were so into running and playing they didn't see mom standing there and slammed into her leg.  She's okay, other than a big bruise on the back of her leg. 

So today, another most excellent sunny day, we went to the other dog park hoping to run into my bro, Milo.  We got there and I played for about an hour.  Mom was thinking about leaving, but then we saw Milo and his mom.  Yea!!!  Here's a shot of our ridges:

We left the dog park after 2.5 hours!  That's the longest I played, but it was worth it to play with my brother.  I'm totally exhausted now!  This weekend, I'm hoping to get to play with my sis, Nala, again.  Maybe, if I'm lucky, I'll see Milo again, too!

New Toy Saturday

Saturday was a beautiful day.  We went over to the one dog park, hoping to run into my bro, Milo.  He wasn't there, but I played with a bunch of other new furriends. 

When we got home, it was time for the toy exchange.  I tried to get some last minute playing out of my fav blue 'almost-squeekless' ball before mom took it away.

Then mom gave me my new toys for the week.  What?  Only 4 this week?!

Then mom pulled a new toy from behind her back.  My first frisbee!

I ran around all over the place with it.

Then we played outside with it. 

It was so nice out, mom let me chew on a bone in the yard while she sat in the sun. 

Today is another really nice day, although a bit chilly yet.  I'm sure we'll get to do a lot of stuff outside as soon as the sun warms things up.

Okay, okay...so it's a LITTLE late!

Furriends and Family

I've been resting up from a lot of fun stuff over the weekend. 

Saturday started with NTS (New Toy Saturday).  Here's dad returning last week's toys:

Then, I did some napping before mom and dad rushed me into the truck for a surprise.  I thought we were just going for a walkie, but then mom unclipped my leash and I saw....my sis, NALA!!!!!   I was so excited!!!!!

Then, about a minute later, I got another surprise.  My buddy, Darwin, showed up!!!!

It was such gurreat fun!  I hardly even noticed the rain!   I hope we can all get together again soon! 

Waking up is a process!

So this morning, it was a little easier to wake up. 

First I sat up (kindof) in my crate:

Then I stepped out and stretched:

Then I made all the way to the doorway:

as you can see, it's VERY far from my crate.

Then I made it to my bed in the living room:

Whew!  By then I was ready for a nap!

Just 5 more minutes.....

Man, I did NOT want to get up to go to work with mom today.

Usually, when mom opens my crate door, I'm rarin' to go.  Not THIS morning.  Ugh!

But sometimes mom gets up insanely early.  But, I made up for it by sleeping most of the day at work.  Such is life....

An Actual New Toy!!!!

Mom actually bought me a new toy:

She was going to get one off of Amazon, but found it at PetSmart.

You're probably thinking, "What the heck weird torture device are you wearing?"  We just got home and I still had my regular harness on AND my safety seatbelt harness. 

 I was in too much of a hurry to play with my Teaserball that I didn't bother taking the stuff off.

Danes, Danes, everywhere.....and they all look the same!

Yesterday, I went up to Marymoor park for Darwin & sibs' 1st birthday par-tay.  I've never seen so many Great Danes!!  And, since they are all related, they all looked the same.  It was a little confusing, but I tried to remember names by collars.  Here's me and Darwin at the feeding of the cake:

The cake was so yummy.  I tried to sneak 2 pieces, but mom caught me.  Here's me finishing off the crumbs:

Then, after eating the cake and meeting all the sibs, we went into the off-leash area and I played and played for a good hour.  I was very pooped afterwards. 

 It was really fun meeting Darwin and her family.  I hope they all had a super time at their b-day par-tay!!
