Bonus Play Days

I must've been really good lately cuz I've gotten to play with Memphis
 4 mornings in a row!

On the way home today, I sat up front with mom.  She was surprised cuz I've never done that before.

What?!  The view's much better up here!
Plus, it's a much better position for getting the direct flow of the warm dragon breath!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Hope you all had a grrrreat Thanksgiving and don't have too much of a turkey hangover today!
Mom said I should blog about things I'm thankful for.
Hmmm...
I'm thankful for my best bud, Memphis, who meets me every weekend.  Sometimes we get bonus play days.  Here we are yesterday morning in that white stuff:

Most of all, I'm thankful for having pawrents who love me,
give me a nice cozy warm spot to sleep in:

... and give me lots of yummies to eat:

Snow Invasion

The snow kept falling yesterday and, when I went outside, there was a bunch piled up.  It made this cool crunching feeling when I stepped on it:

It was everywhere, from down at my favorite pee spot:

...to piled way up in the trees:

This morning it was really windy and super cold (mom said probably close to zero with wind chill).  So, before going out for my morning pee, mom bundled me up with my sweater and ear warmer:

I know I look ridiculous, but it's actually warm:

A Winter Wonderland

Yesterday afternoon, all these big white flakes started falling.  It was like the trees had a bad case of dandruff.

This morning, mom took me out to explore the snow.

A couple hours later, look how much snow we got:

Lucky for me, I have my nice warm sweater and nice warm bed.

I can hear some of you fellow bloggers(especially you out there in th Midwest), "That's not snow, that's just a dusting".  Mom agrees (being from Montana), but people over here don't know how to drive in it and the city is never prepared and doesn't plow/sand.  So a couple inches pretty much brings the area to a stand still.
We'll keep you all updated.
We have almost 3 inches now and the snow has almost stopped.  Supposed to get gale force winds this evening, dropping wind chills below zero.  Brrrr...

Mom's Lost It!

Yeah.  It's definitely happened this time!

Mom's definitely gone cuckoo for cocoa puffs!

After my usual MMA practice session with Memphis this morning, during my normal 4-hour recovery period, mom put these thingies on my feets!

At least she got me real cool ones for boys:

But why would she do this?
Should I be expecting underoos next?!?!!

It Was a Dark and Stormy Night

But wait a minute....It's daytime here!
But it's still dark and dismal and drippy.  It's so dark here (let me hear it:  'how dark is it?)  that our 'dusk 'til dawn' lights stay on all day.
However, me and mom did discover some colorful leaves on our walk today:

What to do on a sun-less Sunday

....hmmmm, what to do?
How about pick on my brudder...

Remi:  'Mom!  Jake keeps staring at me!'

Jake:  'Mom!  Remi's lookin' at me!'

Zombie Dog!!

Mom is a fan of the new AMC series, The Walking Dead, so I thought I'd give my best zombie impression.

The show was originally a comic book series:
and actually, so far, seems to follow the comic book pretty closely.

If you missed the first episode, which debuted on Halloween, you can catch it here:

Flashback Furrrriday!

Remember my camouflage look from last fall:

Here's the same spot this year (the leaves weren't as colorful this time).

Veterans' Day, pt II

Me and mom went on our walk, but there weren't many people out cuz it was still a little cold.
But we still had a good time exploring!

Thank a Veteran Today!

Today is the day to remember veterans and their honorable service and sacrifices (although we should remember them more than once a year!)

Myspace Comments

Veterans are very much a part of mom's life.  She helps them get through some of the bad stuff they experienced while they were deployed.
I even get to help when I go to work with her.

My Pop-pop, who is a veteran, got me some nice patriotic things to wear today.

So after it warms up a bit this morning, me and mom will set out on an adventure to see how many veterans we can thank today.

A moment of silence in honor of all the vets out there.

I wanted to add a link to this blog that has a great posting about dogs' service in the military.

Chilly!!!!

It was a sunny morning, so me and mom set out for a walk.
Good thing I had my fleece on cuz it was chilly and breezy out.
It was my first time wearing it out, since it hasn't been cold until today.
I was nice and warm through the whole walk.

Mom's thinking about getting me some Bark'n Boots for this winter.
Has anyone tried these or heard anything about them?

Shockingly Sunny Sunday!

Mom got up early this morning cuz she forgot to set the clock back.  Oh alright... I woke her up because I forgot to set back my internal clock.
We got to the dog park early to meet up with Memphis and some of the other early birds.
Amazingly enough, the sun came out:

Memphis, trying to entice me into a game of "oh, you want THIS stick?"

Me, Memphis, Sammie, and Alena:

The whole team investigating a weird smell:

That's all for now.  I'm off to do some energy loading so we can go walking in the sun later.
