My First Overnighter

I had my first night away from home.
We went to visit my Pop-pop.  It's a 2-hour drive to get there, so mom took me to the dog park first where I played with my friend, Memphis.  Then, I slept the whole trip.  When we got there, I was ready to stretch my legs.  We went for  walk, and I saw bald eagles and deer.

I guess that's Canada behind me.  I think it looks like a huge mushroom cloud.
We went to the dog park up there, and there was only one other dog, but we had a blast.   I was ready to sleep, but mom brought the small crate and it wasn't comfortable at all. So I woke her up at midnight and then she let me sleep on the bed with her (another first!).
The next day, I went for a little run with Pop-pop:
Then we saw this doe and her little fawn in his yard.
Of course, I barked at them the whole time:
Mom said next time she'll bring my big crate.
I hope she forgets it so I can sleep on the bed again!

Not as cute as you of course, but pretty close!
Where does your pop-pop live? That looks like a great overnighter!
Darwin doesn't get to sleep on the bed with us unless we're on a vacation, then she does. She doesn't even try it at home!
