Dogtoberfest

Ran my 4th Oktoberfest 5k. 

 

This was Nelli's furrst, so we had to go like super slow.  But we finished before the rain started. Then we went to the place at the finish where there's all sorts of human food & drinks.  That's when it started pouring out. Luckily we got to hang out with some furrends in a little port-a-house, where it was dry.  And luckily mom brought us snacks, cuz the human food smelled yummy. 

Me and Nelli were pretty wiped out from the run & all the excitement. Nelli crashed out on the floor:

It started getting cold, so mom put my jacket on me and I took a little snooze with my buds:

It was fun, like it has been the past 3 years. This was definitely the wettest year!  Hopefully, next year Nelli will run faster and the weather will be more ridgeback friendly.

Port-a-house time!!!

Mom & dad finally got my port-a-house out for a trip. 

It was Lil' sis Nelli's furrst trip, but she did ok.  

The place we stayed had a huge fenced doggie run place. 

So we got to get some of our running wrestling done there. 

...and of course, I had to get my picture taken next to some weird statue thingy. 

It was fun & we have more adventures coming up soon!

My BIG surrr-prize!

I got a couple cool little birthday pressies from mom & dad.  This is a cool T-Rex. Supposed to be very tough & durable.  I played with it for about 5 minutes, then Nellie took it.

Look at all these fun stuffs in one thingy!  I played with the stick for a while, then Nellie took it (what a brat!)

Then I got a BIG surprise last night..... A new bed!

Just for me.  Look!  It's got my name on it!

It's so huge!  I can stretch out...

...or curl up.

The best thing is that it's all mine and Nellie can't have it.  PPffffttt.... (If you look closely, I'm actually sticking my tongue out at her)!!!  

I've had a great 4 years, but these last few months have been the best. My health continues to be excellent and now I've got a ton of space to run outside and chase bunnies.  And my sister, who can definitely be a little bee-otch, is usually a lot of fun to play with.  I'm a lucky dog :)

Nelli's Furrst Bavarian Visit

We all went on a road trip up to this Bavarian village. I've been there a few times before, but this was the furrst time for my sis, Nelli. It was pretty crowded, but she did real good. Lots of hoomans came up and petted us and stuffs. Here we are chillin' at the Icicle Brewery:

It was a good time. Can't wait for our next trip. Maybe we can take the port-a-house!!!

Weekend getaway!

Went to Pop pop's this weekend. I caught my first octopus:

We went for a long walk this morning and hung out in the sun. Good thing dad's truck is good for napping on the way home:

I've been spending a lot of time training Nelli on the fine art of Ridgeback. Here, she's learning how to watch for trespassers (aka cats). Have to admit, she's a quick study!
