Happy Memorial Day!

Remembering the true meaning of Memorial Day:

Unfortunately, it turned out to be another soggy morning.  More rain than yesterday.  I'm wondering if it will ever stop raining.

They're forecasting rain 8 out of the next 10 days.  How miserable!

 I patiently waited for mom to take me to the dog park.

FINALLY, mom got her act together and we made it to the dog park. 

I got to play with my bud, Memphis, again.

Needless to say, we both got pretty muddy.

Mom said that was the dirtiest I've ever been!

Cool!!

She also said it's a good thing I'm getting my ears cleaned tomorrow.

Yuck!  Not so cool!

Time to Build an Ark!

It seems like its been raining for 40 days and 40 nights here in the Seattle area.  NOT my favorite weather conditions.  Yesterday was pouring all morning so instead of going to the dog park, we went to see my doc.  Mom has been checking out my poop again (isn't that some mental disorder?) and my doc gave me some special food and some pills.  He said I (or make that mom) should be feeling better in a few days.

This morning when I woke up mom at 0530 (!!), the sun was shining.  I was all psyched to go to the dog park.  But about 5 minutes later, it started raining (BOO!!!!)   We waited a while until the rain let up, and then went.  It was still a little wet, but I totally forget about it when I'm with my furriends.

Especially when I'm playing with my best bud, Memphis. 

After playing with him for an hour, I'm pretty much wiped out the rest of the day.

Keep your paws crossed for me that it doesn't rain again tomorrow morning so I can go play again!

My first summit!

A few days ago, me and dad went on a hike at this place called 'Tiger Mountain.'  Hrump!  I didn't see any tigers!  But, we got to the top:

The sign says 'Summit Elevation 2522'.  I guess that's pretty high.  It was a good hike.  Maybe next time we'll see some of them tigers.  Or maybe dad will take me to 'Lion Mountain'!  Yeah!

Home Again

Although I had a great time visiting my Pop-pop, it's nice to get back to my routine.

My First Overnighter

I had my first night away from home. 

We went to visit my Pop-pop.  It's a 2-hour drive to get there, so mom took me to the dog park first where I played with my friend, Memphis.  Then, I slept the whole trip.  When we got there, I was ready to stretch my legs.  We went for  walk, and I saw bald eagles and deer.

 

I guess that's Canada behind me.  I think it looks like a huge mushroom cloud. 

We went to the dog park up there, and there was only one other dog, but we had a blast.   I was ready to sleep, but mom brought the small crate and it wasn't comfortable at all. So I woke her up at midnight and then she let me sleep on the bed with her (another first!).

The next day, I went for a little run with Pop-pop:

Then we saw this doe and her little fawn in his yard. 

Of course, I barked at them the whole time:

Mom said next time she'll bring my big crate. 

I hope she forgets it so I can sleep on the bed again!

Playin' with the Homies and other Redneck Stuff

Yesterday, I got to go to a Ridgeback fun day.  I was beside myself...literally, cuz there were a few other blokes there that looked just like me.

I was so tired from all that playing.

Today, mom got me a new collar cuz I always trash the one I wear to the dog park.  She was looking at this cool one with skulls on it, but they didn't have a large. 

So then she picked out this one:

I kept trying to pull her away from it.  But she said it was cheap and I could trash it at the dog park.  Plus, maybe people will stop thinking I'm a chick!

Looks like I'm ready to go to a monster truck rally!

Its an Honorable Day

Today is a special day.  It's Armed Forces Day, Peace Officers' Memorial Day, and...

my dad's birthday.

Because it's such a special day, I let him sleep in while me and mom went to the dog park at the crack of dawn (no sleepin' in for the mama!)

My bud, Memphis, showed up for another great play session:

Then, Bubba, another furriend, showed up.  I play with Bubba at Biscuits.  Bubba's a Weimaraner.  I think he looks like me, but no ridge and grey...

and missing part of his tail.

I'm not sure what else we're doing today in honor of dad's birthday, but, if he's a "very good boy", I'll let him take me on a nice, long walk.

Postin' 'bout Poopin'

Don't worry....no detailed photos of that included.  I've had a tummy ache the past few days.  Mom really freaked out yesterday when I wouldn't eat breakfast (VERY unlike me to turn down food).  So, dad took me to my doc, who gave me something called 'PROBE-EYE'-oticz.  I was gonna tell my doc, "Wait!  It's not that end that's having the problem!"  But apparently, it's supposed to help my tummy feel better.  Here's a pic of me and dad.

Don't worry dad.  I got your 6!

Mom said those meds must be working cuz I'm back to my ornery self and my poop looks more normal.  Personally, I think it's weird that she looks at my poop, but whatever makes her feel better!

Alien Encounter!!

What a great day it turned out to be.  I started it by waking mom up a 0500 (!!!) cuz I had to pee, then letting her sleep for a whole 'nother hour until my usual wake time of 0600.  We got to the dog park before 0800. My best bud, Memphis, showed up and we had a blast playing:

Then the most bizarre thing happened...

I HAD AN ALIEN ENCOUNTER AT THE DOG PARK!!!!

What the heck is this weird curvy-necked thing?!  Definitely NOT from this planet!

Later on, I got a flossie for being "such-a-good-dog" today.

Even dad was happy with me for being so good all day long!
